Make-up Artist Series: How to Deep Clean & Spot Clean: Brushes & Sponges!

Recently, I met up with a client to give personal make-up lessons.  One of the first things I like to do is have them share with me their personal make-up bag.  Simply by having a quick peak into what they currently have can give a lot of insight into what their skincare and make-up routine consists of as well as which brands they like to use and which shades interest them most.

In the years that I have been doing make-up, I can assure you that almost every single make-up bag that I have inspected is guilty of one or more of the following: dirty make-up, dirty make-up bag, dirty brushes, and dirrtaye sponges!!

I'm callin' an intervention, ladies!!  I am going to personally show you how to deep clean & spot clean your make-up brushes & sponges!!

You will be amazed at how much smoother your make-up glides on and how much softer your brushes and sponges feel!  With frequent cleaning, you may even notice some of those pesky blemishes no longer hangin' around. ;)

  1. Helpful video, I use a mix of anti-bacterial soap and olive oil to condition sometimes. Didn't realize sponges could be cleaned though. Good to know!
